I don’t speak to impress people.I speak to make them see something differently.

I bring science into rooms where people are making real decisions. Leadership. Performance. Communication. Innovation. The human side of change.

Sara Hegy speaking on stage

I don’t believe in standing on a stage for 60 minutes just to give people something nice to post on LinkedIn. My talks are designed to make people think differently, and then do something differently.

With a PhD in Molecular Biosciences, experience building and leading across cultures, a $2.7M NIH-funded research story behind me, and years of working with leaders across industries and nationalities, I bring together something you don’t often find in one speaker:

scientific thinking + lived experience + leadership practice.

The result isn’t motivational fluff. It’s the kind of insight that makes someone stop halfway through taking notes and think: “Wait. I’ve never looked at it that way before.” And then gives them something they can actually use on Monday.

See Sara in action.

30 seconds. A few of the rooms I’ve had the privilege of being invited into.

From the stage to the conversation.

A keynote gives you one room. A podcast gives you time to go deeper. I’ve been invited into both.

From leadership and entrepreneurship to leadership science, communication, expatriate life, women in leadership and the future of work, these conversations explore the questions underneath the obvious ones.

I don’t arrive with a presentation and ask your audience to fit into it. I start with your room.

Who is there?

What are they struggling with?

What conversation are they avoiding?

What do you want them to understand, question or do differently when they walk out?

Then I build the experience around that.

Keynote45 - 90 minutes

Change the conversation in the room

A story-driven keynote combining science, personal experience and practical leadership insight. The goal isn’t simply to energise the room. It’s to change the conversation happening inside it.

Ideal for: Conferences · Annual Summits · Gala Dinners · Opening & Closing Sessions · Leadership Events

Power workshopHalf day or full-day

Don’t just listen. Try it.

For people who need to practice, not just understand. Case studies, role plays, live coaching, reflection, frameworks and real situations from the room, including the TSAR framework and other models they keep using afterwards.

Ideal for: Team Offsites · Leadership Retreats · Corporate Training Days · Away Days

Virtual masterclass60 - 120 minutes

Different room. Same depth.

For distributed teams and international audiences who want something more engaging than another webinar. Live interaction, Q&A, breakout work, practical exercises and digital resources participants keep.

Ideal for: Global Teams · Remote All-Hands · Online Conferences · Internal L&D

Executive roundtable2 - 4 hrs · 8 - 20 leaders

The smaller the room, the deeper the conversation.

Not a presentation: a facilitated conversation designed to surface what isn’t being said. I challenge assumptions, identify blind spots and use structured coaching questions to move senior teams toward clearer thinking and stronger alignment.

Ideal for: C-Suite Teams · Board Strategy Sessions · Senior Leadership Offsites

I have signature themes. But I don’t have a one-size-fits-all speech.

Every audience is different. So every session is adapted to the people in the room, the culture they’re operating in, the industry they’re navigating and the conversation you actually need to have.

  1. 01

    Visionary leadership, redefined

What does it actually take to lead well without burning yourself, or your people, out? We explore the dimensions of visionary leadership and what organisations can do to develop leaders who create sustainable performance rather than short-term output.Leadership · Performance · Culture
  2. 02

    The science of human performance

Why do so many performance initiatives fail? Because knowing what people should do isn’t the same as understanding what humans can sustain. Drawing on neuroscience, biology and real leadership experience, this session explores what the brain and body need for performance that lasts.Neuroscience · Productivity · Wellbeing
  3. 03

Lead boldly. Stand out. Women in leadership

What if the problem isn’t that women need to become more confident, but that we need to change the conditions in which confidence, authority and leadership are expected to exist? We examine cultural conditioning, bias, psychological safety and the internal patterns that make talented women smaller than they need to be.Women · Leadership · Inclusion
  4. 04

The communication code: say less, land more

Communication isn’t about finding the right words. It’s about what happens between what you intend to say and what another person actually hears. This session explores a seven-level communication model and the science of how language shapes perception, behaviour and relationships.Communication · Influence · Teams
  5. 05

    From expat to leader

What happens when you have to rebuild yourself in a place that wasn’t built for you? From Cairo to Germany. From scientist to entrepreneur. This isn’t a talk about following your dreams. It’s about identity, resilience, belonging and leading when the rules you knew no longer apply.Cross-Cultural Leadership · Resilience · Identity
  6. 06

    The decision-making revolution

Your brain is making decisions before you realise you’ve made them. Anchoring. Status quo bias. Sunk-cost thinking. Survival mode. Leaders don’t make bad decisions because they’re unintelligent; they make them because they’re human. This session makes the hidden architecture visible.Decision-Making · Strategy · Risk
  7. 07

Innovation is not a talent. It’s a system.

Smart people don’t automatically create innovative organisations. Innovation needs the right psychological, structural and leadership conditions. This session explores why organisations unintentionally kill good ideas, and what leaders can change to make experimentation part of how the organisation operates.Innovation · Culture · Growth
  8. 08

    Leading through technological disruption

AI isn’t just changing jobs. It’s changing how people experience uncertainty, value, identity and trust at work. No complicated speaker bureau process. Just a conversation.

  1. 01

    Discovery

We talk about your event, your audience, your objectives and anything happening beneath the surface that matters. I listen before I propose anything.
  2. 02

    Tailored proposal

You receive a proposed format, session direction, key messages, expected outcomes and investment.
  3. 03

    Pre-event brief

Before I step on stage I want to understand the room: your audience profile, your culture, your context, your current challenges. Because the best keynote isn’t the one I gave somewhere else. It’s the one I built for you.
  4. 04

    Delivery

The room gets the experience. Participants leave with something they can take with them, not just a photograph of the stage. Optional post-event support keeps the conversation going.

A note on availability

I deliberately keep the number of speaking engagements limited each year. I don’t want to be everywhere. I want to be in the right rooms. If you’re planning an event between April and November, reach out early with your date and I’ll let you know what’s possible.

Your life. Your terms.Your pursuit of freedom.

Once a quarter

Want to hear what I’m thinking about next?

I write, speak and think about what’s happening at the intersection of leadership, science, performance, identity and freedom. Once a quarter, I send a short note about where I’m speaking, what I’m exploring and the ideas currently changing how I see leadership.

No content treadmill. No inbox noise. Just something worth opening.
